Manufacturing Technician – Assembly & Wiring

Posted: 09/02/2026

Overview

TEK Services is looking for a dependable, hands-on Production Technician who enjoys variety and takes pride in producing quality work. This is an all-around manufacturing position rather than a single-task assembly job. You'll work across wire and cable assembly, mechanical assembly, light production equipment, kitting, packaging and other production areas as workload changes.

We're a small team, so reliability, initiative and the ability to learn multiple processes are extremely important. We provide training, but we're looking for someone who can become increasingly independent and take ownership of their work.

What You’ll Do

  • Assemble mechanical and electrical products (wire harnesses, control panels, kitting)
  • Read and follow work instructions, prints, and basic diagrams
  • Use hand tools, crimpers, and light production equipment
  • Inspect your own work to ensure it meets quality standards
  • Package, label, and prepare orders for shipment
  • Move between assembly, production, and fulfillment as needed
  • Identify issues and help improve efficiency on the floor

What We’re Looking For

  • Self-starter – you do not wait to be told what to do
  • Reliable – consistent attendance and on-time every day
  • Fast learner – able to pick up new tasks quickly
  • Hands-on – comfortable working with tools and physical tasks
  • Detail-oriented – you care about doing things right the first time
  • Accountable – you own your work and fix mistakes when they happen

Minimum Requirements (Must-Have)

  • Ability to work on your feet for most of the day
  • Ability to lift 25–50 lbs as needed
  • Basic experience with hand tools or assembly work
  • Strong attendance history (this will be verified)

What Sets You Apart

  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production
  • Electrical or mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read prints or wiring diagrams
  • Experience with crimping, wiring, or light machinery

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced, hands-on production setting
  • Small team (your performance directly impacts the company)
  • Mix of clean assembly and warehouse work

Schedule & Pay

  • 4-day work week (Monday–Thursday)
  • Typical hours: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Starting pay: $20–$25/hr (based on experience)
  • Opportunity for growth as skills improve

Why TEK Services

  • Small team, no corporate layers
  • You will learn multiple skill sets (not stuck doing one task)
  • Stable company with long-term customers
  • Direct visibility into your impact

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means learning our processes, producing consistent quality work, staying productive, and being willing to move between different production tasks as priorities change.

If you enjoy hands-on work, variety, and being part of a small team where your contribution matters, we’d like to hear from you.
