Walking Tacos to benefit the Midland University PBL
Walking Taco Wednesday to benefit Midland University PBL students competing at national conference
A Walking Taco Wednesday fundraiser to benefit the Midland University chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) will be held on Wednesday, April 25th from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in The Milady Coffeehouse at 105 E. 6th Street. The lunch will include a walking taco, dessert and beverage. Free will donations will be accepted. The fundraiser is sponsored by First State Bank & Trust Company and Fremont Creative Collective.
The funds from this event will help underwrite participation at the PBL National Convention in Baltimore, Maryland this June for the five students who qualified by placing in the top of their state events. Qualifiers include Axel Klausen in Project Management, Ariel Lichty in Information Management and Retail Management, Anna Watts in Forensic Accounting and Information Management, Johnathan Quintanilla in Economic Analysis and Decision Making, and Seth Strudthoff in Computer Applications.
The four-day conference is considered the pinnacle of the PBL experience. It is an opportunity to compete in business related events against the best and brightest in the nation while also promoting leadership, information exchange and new opportunities to implement on the local chapter level.
PBL is a unique organization designed to give college students the competitive edge through career exploration, self-improvement, and community service opportunities. PBL is the ideal way for students to sharpen their business skills while applying their classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios.
