Christmas Camp 2018
Christmas Camp is two-fold; a chance to share the blessings of the season to young people ages 9-12yrs old who might not find much joy at Christmastime and a chance for individuals and groups to get involved by adopting a camper. The theme this year is "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."
To be held December 14-16, out at Camp Fontanelle, this camp is geared for young people who are struggling with finding joy at Christmas. There may be family strife due to financial, health or emotional reasons. We don't know and we don't ask. This camp is about bringing happiness through fun activities, lessons and learning about service. Kids will have a service project which will benefit Crowell Home and there will be games, a photo booth and so much more!
Camp Fontanelle is also looking for iindividuals and groups to adopt a camper. The camper will provide a Christmas list which will include clothing sizes and fun gifts, which will be used to purchase gifts for a specific person. Those sponsoring a child will either purchase gifts or send a monetary donation to support a child. The cost for adopting a child is $100.00.
The weekend will end with the families gathering on Sunday morning for worship, which the campers have prepared. They will then head to the dining hall and share a meal before heading home.
